Gold, Frankincense& Myrrh - Three Box Set
Bring new meaning to your tradition of giving gifts at Christmastime.
The frankincense and myrrh are from the very same places as the original gifts given by Caspar and Balthasar. This is real gold, frankincense and myrrh.
The individual satin lined boxes are handmade to capture the spirit of those first gifts.
The antique looking hand-made wooden chests are adorned with brass angels, stars and hand-stamped brass relief and each box comes complete with brass chains, latches and hinges. The gold is held in a orb-shaped glass bottle and the set comes with enough frankincense and myrrh to more than fill the chests.
The round box measures 3 5/8 x 2 ¼ in. (high). The square box measures 3 1/4 x 3 in. (high). The octagonal box measures 3 3/4 x 3 ¼ in. (high). This Three Box Set is packed in a gift box that is richly adorned with a gold-foil silhouette of the Magi stamped on the lid.
The set also comes with a gold embossed Display Card and Certificate of Authenticity stating that the gold is real 23 karat and the Frankincense and Myrrh are pure, authentic and from the same regions as the gifts brought by Three Kings more than 2000 years ago.
The Original Gifts of Christmas by Three Kings Gifts
Gold - the Gift given by Melchior, a king of Arabia. He is said to have been the oldest of the Three Kings. The gold in the hand-blown glass globe is real, 23 karat gold. Gently shake the bottle and it will float like snowflakes.
Frankincense - the Gift given by Balthasar, a king from Saba - present day Yemen. Frankincense is resin from the dried sap of the Boswellia tree - a tree that has grown on the craggy slopes of the Arabian Sea for thousands of years. In ancient times frankincense and gold were equally precious.
Myrrh - the Gift given by Caspar, a king from Tarsus - present day southern Turkey. Myrrh is also a resin used as incense but with a bitter fragrance. In ancient times, the finest Myrrh came from southern Arabia. Break a piece of either frankincense or myrrh in half and smell the fresh incense.
